To earn a Bachelor of Science in Journalism degree, you need to complete 126 credits:
- 32 credits in core courses, including English Composition I; American, British, or World Literature; Science (two courses); Survey of Mathematics or Statistics; Contemporary U.S. History; Ethics; Economics; Humanities; and U.S. Government.
- A minimum of 45 credits in Communication & Journalism courses, including Introduction to Communication; Journalism I and II; Media Law; Advanced Reporting; Copy Editing; Review Writing; Issues in Journalism; Advanced Feature Writing; Presentation Skills; and Communication Theory.
- 49 credits in Suffolk electives or in transfer credits obtained before enrolling in Suffolk.
You can complete the entire program without leaving Cape Cod. Suffolk works in partnership with Cape Cod Community College to offer you a full range of required courses on the campus of Cape Cod Community College in West Barnstable, Massachusetts.
